Grace Tan has over 25 years of working experience in management, training and consultancy. She started her career in 1975 as a project manager in Frank Small & Associates and moving up to become the Regional Sales Manager for Naturade (S) Pte Ltd in 1983.Since then she has diversified into providing training and consultancy in particular implementing IQC (Innovation & Quality Circle) in companies as well as experiential indoor and outdoor teambuilding program. From July 05 to End March ‘06, (7 months contract) she was working as a Talent Development Manager for Holiday Inn Atrium.
She was awarded Top Trainer Award in 1992 by PSB and the Trainer’s Dedication Award in 1998.In 1993, she was appointed Honorary Quality Life Circle Consultant by the National Community Organisations Council. She was invited to present a paper at the International Exposition of Quality Circles (IEQC) by Singapore Productivity Association in 1998. She is a Certified National Assessor for National Innovation & Quality Circle (NIQC) since 1987.She was one of the International Lead Judge for the International Exposition on Team Excellence (IETEX) in June 2008. Latest achievement in coaching the navy team for ASQ Award 2010.
In 2003, she was appointed Master Trainer for the Foreign Domestic Workers ( FDW) Orientation Program by PSB Academy/MOM .She was awarded employer of the year award for FDW in 2006.She is a certified TQP Trainer (Total Quality Process ), Certified AMA ( American management Association) Trainer and a GEM Trainer . She is also involved in all three National Initiatives namely COSEC; CREST and ESS. Her involvement includes piloting & conducting the training programmes as well as conducting the train-the trainer for the various modules. She received her full ACTA in 2006. She is also a certified Indoor/Outdoor Teambuilding Trainer. Her latest achievement is in the development of the Team Excellence Framework with a team of Associate Consultants from Singapore Productivity Association.
She specialize in programmes such as implementing small group activities (Innovative Quality Circle/WITs) both for public and private sectors; Coaching for IQC/WITs; Building Effective Teams (Indoors & Outdoors); Effective Leadership & Facilitation Skills; CREST, ESS; TQP; Supervisory Management, Innovation & Creativity Programme, Quality Improvement & Problem Solving program; Customer Service Program/GEMS for PA; Holiday Inn; M’phosis and Saigon Tourist in Vietnam. Communication Skills; Personal Effectiveness Program and Train-the–Trainer Workshop for Keppel; CPF; Abbott Laboratories; SOKHA Hotel in Cambodia & Volvo Singapore. She had also conducted JWOC ( Joint Warrant Officers Course) and MOI ( Method Of Instruction)since 2006 as well as ALP ( Advanced Leadership Program) for SAF.
Over the years, Grace has developed a facilitation style that is practical, fun and interesting using a variety of activities and teaching methods. She facilitates the learning into application. Her experience and versatility, gives her the ability to engage and facilitates with all levels of the organization. She had travelled to Vietnam; China; Sri Lanka ; Malaysia and Cambodia to conduct various training programmes.
Grace holds a Diploma in Marketing (UK), a certificate in ASTD Human Performance Improvement, a certificate of competency in Teambuilding – Indoor & Outdoor Experiential ( Advanced) by Box Hill TAFE College, Victoria, Australia; a certified trainer/consultant by AMA ( American Management Association) and had been a National judge/Assessor since 1987. She is a Pro-Family Business Consultant with Singapore Productivity Association. She is also a certified Practising Management Consultant.
